Wheel Reassembly
NOTE: If thewheel waspreviouslyassembled, thestraight boreadapter
bushing, wheel hub-and-bladeassembly, andactuator partswill be
matchmarked.Maintain that alignmentwhen reassembling to retain
proper dynamicbalance.
1. Install the straight bore adapter bushing andwheel to themotor shaft:
A. Place the key in themotor shaft keyway.
B. Align the keyway in the straight bore adapter bushingwith themotor
shaft key.
C. Slide the straight bore adapter bushing onto themotor shaft until the snap
ring in the straight bore adapter bushing contacts theend of themotor shaft.
D. Tighten the four straight bore adapter set screws (tighten the two set screws
over the key first).
E. Torque the four set screws to the value shown in
CHART1
.
F. Slide the fanwheel onto the straight bore adapter bushing. If the fanwheel
waspreviously assembled, align thewheel-to-straight bore adapter bushing
matchmarks. Align theuntappedwheel hub holeswith tapped holes in the
straight bore adapter bushing.
G. Install the three socket head cap screwsand lockwashers and tighten
evenly.
H. Torque the three socket head cap screws to the value shown in
CHART 2
.

2. Check that the six plasticbushingsare inserted into thepiston housing guide
rod relief holes.
3. Apply a thin coat of white lithium grease to a cleaned straight bore adapter bushing
surfacewhich contacts thepiston housingTeflon strip.
4. Slide thepiston housing onto the straight bore adapter bushing.
5. Align one crankarm roller with the slot in thepiston housing. Rotate theblade
crankarm until the crankarm roller passes through the slot into thepiston
housing groove. Repeat the step for the crankarm roller locatedopposite the
first. Hold thewheel stationary and rotate thepiston housing until thenext
pair of crankarm rollers alignwith the slots. Repeat until all the crankarm
rollers are in thepiston housing groove.
6. Rotate thepiston housing until the slots in thepiston housing are centered
between two crankarm rollers and thebalancingmatchmarks are aligned.
